Mackellar Matters Report

July 2021

We are proud to have released our Mackellar Matters Report with the findings from our 68 Kitchen Table Conversations held between November 2020 and June 2021 with 380 local participants plus 50 online questionnaires completed at the end of the process where people told us what they valued about living in Mackellar and what are their greatest issues and concerns.

You can download the Report here

Voices of Mackellar is a group of local residents taking the pulse of our community. We’re asking you to tell us about the issues you really care about in respectful, small group discussions called Kitchen Table Conversation (KTCs). KTCs are happening in suburbs all around Mackellar. They’re run for locals, by locals.

Voices of Mackellar provides a forum for real voices to be heard, respected and counted. Your issues and concerns are collected anonymously and will form the basis of the Mackellar Matters Report, due to be published in May/June 2021. Hundreds of locals from our community have already participated.

The Mackellar Matters Report will form  the basis for discussion between the community — the Voices of Mackellar — and our elected representatives and any potential candidates.

We encourage and welcome the participation of all people living in Mackellar, on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, and respect the diversity of people and opinions within our community. Our aim is to encourage the highest standard of community consultation and participation.

Come along and be heard because your voice really does matter.

‘Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens

can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.’
